About Me
Hey there! My name is Don Flugga. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born on March 14th in Sandusky, OH. I went to Perkins High School, and went on to study at The University of Toledo.
I have loved music my whole life. In school, I participated in various music programs. I also earned a bronze medal in world class whilst performing in Rhythm X. I was also a member of the marching drum corps with the Lake Erie Regiment. As a member I performed at regional and national events, and gained extensive experience in marching percussion.
As an adult, I discovered a passion for nurturing young talent and fostering a lifelong love for music and performance. I went on to become the Percussion Instructor at Perkins High School. I spent about ten years at Perkins, during which time I opened my own business, my music store, All Star Music. After that, I went on to become the Assistant Band Director at Swanton High School. After three years, I made my latest move to Angola High School in 2022.
On the weekends...
In my free time, I am an active performer in local music scenes, maintaining a connection to current music trends and performance techniques. I have played in numerous bands throughout the years. Currently, I am the drummer for WhiskeyGypsy.
My favorite pastimes...
Outside of music, I have many hobbies which include going for rides on my motorcycle, flying planes, being an active member of my church, as well as being (self-proclaimed) the best foosball player in all the land.
